Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1987, Dominique Lefort, born in 1950, holds a PhD in law (Doctorat d’Etat en droit – 1981), two advanced degrees (DES) in general civil law (1974) and in criminal sciences (1975) from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and an advanced degree (DESC) in accounting (1971). He also graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Sciences (1970).
He worked as an associate with Charles-Henri de Pardieu (1986-1993) before becoming a partner within De Pardieu Brocas Maffei in 1994.
