Advising the group Les Coopérateurs de Normandie-Picardie in the framework of the signature of a strategic partnership through its subsidiary Mutant Distribution with Group Casino.
This partnership is the taking over by the Casino Group, of nearly 137 stores operated under the discount brand “The Mutant” located in Normandy, Picardy and in the Southwest of France.
The two groups will strengthen their discount brand in France through mainly:
- the acquisition of 47 stores “The Mutant” by Leader Price, and
- the affiliation under the brand “Leader Price” of nearly 90 stores “The Mutant” through a trademark license agreement and a supply agreement with Groupe Casino.
These operations, submitted to the prior approval of the Competition Authority, should be effective in the first quarter of 2014.
