De Pardieu advises the lenders on the refinancing and repoweringof Claudia, the battery energy storage facility of the Amarenco group

De Pardieu has advised Société Générale, leading European bank, and Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A, Dutch bancassurance financial institution, on the refinancing and repowering of the battery energy storage facility Claudia from AFD7, subsidiary of AFR Finco Claudia within the Amarenco group, Irish photovoltaic electricity producer.

Société Générale and Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. acted as lenders and hedging banks. Société Générale also acted as agent and security agent.

Claudia, located in Saucats, France, is the flagship battery energy storage facility of Amarenco. It is now upgraded to 2 hours of storage, thereby doubling its energy capacity and significantly increasing its value for the power system. Following this repowering, Claudia will reach a total capacity of 94 MW / 188 MWh.
