De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, an independent French business law firm, is pleased to announce the arrival of Alice Gaillard as Counsel in the Litigation team, co-headed by Paul Talbourdet and Barbara Levy, partners.

Alice Gaillard completes the firm’s litigation practice and will act in regulatory litigation before the main independent administrative authorities and regulatory agencies in the banking, financial and stock market fields. She will advise and represent companies and their managers in the context of investigations or administrative controls and their sanctioning procedures. She has extensive experience in market abuse such as insider trading, market manipulation, as well as in compliance, ethics and fraud matters.

Before joining the Firm, Alice worked as a Legal Supervisor for the General Rapporteur’s Department at the Haut Conseil du Commissariat aux Comptes (H3C), where she was in charge of investigations and sanctions, and as an assistant to the Rapporteurs of the AMF’s Enforcement Committee.

She is a graduate of the Master 2 in Banking and Financial Law, which was directed by Professor Synvet, and of the Master 2 in General Private Law, which was directed by Professor Larroumet, of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

This arrival underlines the importance of the litigation practice for the Firm, which has 6 partners, 2 counsels, 1 law professor and 5 associates dedicated to this expertise.

Biography:

Alice Gaillard, 37, is a member of the Paris Bar since 2011. She holds a postmaster degree in Banking and Financial Law (2009) and a postmaster degree in General Private Law (2008) from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.

advises on regulatory litigation before the main independent administrative authorities and regulatory agencies in the banking, financial and stock market sectors, in particular the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA), the National Sanctions Commission (CNS), at all stages of the proceedings, from the investigation or control to the hearing before the Sanctions Commission, as well as during investigations initiated by national or foreign administrative authorities.

Alice started her career at Gide Loyrette Nouel in restructuring (2009-2012), then joined the AMF as assistant to the Rapporteurs of the Enforcement Committee (2012-2016) and the Haut conseil du commissariat aux comptes (H3C) in November 2016 as Legal Supervisor of the General Rapporteur’s Department.
