After several months of public consultation over a reform of its merger control guidelines, the French competition Authority (FCA) has released July 23rd, 2020, its final version of the revised guidelines on merger control. The present On-Topic gathers three contributions reviewing this document’s inputs and limits in terms of decision-making practice, simplification of control and commitment procedures, transparency and modernization of competitive analysis with regard to the new challenges posed by the digital economy.
