De Pardieu Brocas Maffei advised the Altice Group in the context of the signature of an exclusive agreement between Outremer Telecom, a subsidiary of Altice, and Phoenix Tower International (PTI) for the acquisition by PTI of 203 wireless towers located in the French West Indies (Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana) and the acquisition of new towers which will be built in the next few years in connection with a tailored construction program.
As part of the transaction, Phoenix Tower International and Outremer Telecom would enter into a long-term partnership under which Outremer Telecom would continue to occupy the sites for at least twenty years.
The transaction remains subject to the usual conditions precedent and is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2022.
Outremer Telecom, a subsidiary of the Altice Group since 2014, is a French telecommunications company active in the French overseas departments, where it operates mainly under the Numericable Outremer and SFR Caraïbe brands.
Phoenix Tower International owns and operates over 14,000 towers, 986 km of fiber and over 80,000 other wireless infrastructure and related sites in 18 countries throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe.
