De Pardieu Brocas Maffei advises InVivo Retail (Gamm vert / Delbard) in connection with the acquisition of Jardiland from L-GAM, the long-term investment firm established in partnership with the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, after a period of exclusive negotiations which started at the end of October 2017.
As a result of the transaction, InVivo Retail will hold 100% of the shares of Jardiland, and L-GAM will take a minority stake in InVivo Retail.
The transaction remains subject to the antitrust clearance.
Controlled at 100% by L-GAM since January 2014, the Jardiland group was founded in 1973 and is a leading French distributor of garden and pet products, with a network of more than 200 stores (direct branches and franchisees). The group offers a full range of garden and specialist pet products and has 2,500 employees (5,000 including franchisees). The Jardiland group generates about €730 million in sales.
With 220 cooperatives, InVivo is a leading French agricultural cooperative group which brings together more than 300,000 farmers and employs 9,200 people in 31 countries. InVivo has a turnover of €5.5 billion.
